Welcome to the River Valley Hunting Retriever Club
River Valley HRC is a hunting retriever training club in the lower Wisconsin River Valley dedicated to the hunting,
training, testing and raising of hunting retrievers.
Membership
If you hunt with a retriever and are looking to sharpen their hunting skills and increase the success and enjoyment of your hunting experience, then River Valley HRC is the club for you. While most of our members own retrievers, our club is open to any hunting dog breeds that can do the work. Handlers of all ages and experience in and around SW Wisconsin are encouraged to join us. Training
River Valley HRC runs regularly scheduled training sessions. Providing a scheduled time/place to train together to improve our retrievers' skills and ourselves as hunters/handlers. Our training sessions focus on offering outdoor fun and fellowship while working our dogs. The training sessions will be an opportunity for hunters/handlers to become exposed to and practiced with various equipment, training methods and hunting concepts. Hunt Tests
The River Valley HRC is affiliated with the United Kennel Club (UKC) and the Hunting Retriever Club, Inc. (HRC). The HRC and the UKC are both dedicated to providing hunters and hunting retrievers with a series of realistic practice hunting situations in the form of Hunt Tests. As an HRC affilicated club we normally host 1 UKC/HRC licensed Regular Hunt Test a year. These events are a fun place to test your dog and your training in realistic hunting scenarios.
